I love #MyOldDog because she watches ‘Grease’ with me and snuggles
A huge thank you to Sandy Novak for sharing these musings about her beautiful dog, Rizzo:
“I never had a dog of my own. As a kid, we had Pomeranians and they were always my mother’s babies. I was a dumpy, friendless kid who wanted a big dog to love and hang around with. As life went by, I had cats because I lived in a condo. Having that big dog seemed unfair in such a small place.
“Then, at 40, my partner and I found a little black puppy in the road. We took her to the vet and brought her home and she sat with us quietly watching ‘Grease’ on television — hence her name, Rizzo.
“She’s been my friend, companion, confidante and pal for nearly fifteen years. Her health is declining and very soon I will make that last decision, with her help, and at my age I likely won’t have another. My first dog. My last dog. My old dog, Rizzo.”
